In Reply to: What does "Cinema Re-EQ" do, exactly? posted by BrianB on December 25, 2001 at 14:10:08:
I believe that there is no standard for re-eq, so its effect may vary from brand to brand. I have found that the easiest way to hear the effect of re-eq on my Integra 6.2 is by playing a music CD with lots of high frequencies in it (like drum cymbals, etc.) in DPL2 and then switching the cinema re-eq in and out. There is a definite cut in treble with re-eq.
