DVD to TV problem with Monster Video 3 Component Video cable.
DVD player: Sony DVP-S570D
Television: Sony Wega 32FV
Cable: Monster Video 3 Component VideoWhenever I watch a DVD, some of the colors, (usually red and green) seem to "bleed" from the source of where the color is coming from (like a person is wearing a red or green shirt, the color "bleeds" or "stretches" across the screen.
This only happens when playing DVDs with the component cables. When I switch to an S-video cable, there isnt a problem.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem or have any idea whether it may be the dvd player, cable, or tv?
Reason being is because I would like to keep the component video cables with the dvd and I also have a Tivo which I would be using the only other S-video input in the back of the tv.(Having a cable run to the front of the tv is too annoying).
Thanks
Follow Ups:
Make sure the cables are pushed firmly into the connectors. Weird things can happen if they're loosely connected.
Did you carefully match each component to component?i.e. Y to Y, Pb to Pb, and Pr to Pr ?
or Y to Y, Cb to Cb, and Cr to Cr ?
depending what the port labels actually say.
When I mixed up one of these I got a green tint all over my TV and thought either TV or DVD player was bad, instead it was just dumb me.
