I'm looking for basically surge protection and overall performance in the system as well. But the main reason I'm looking for is to plug all my equipment to and my equipment are in entertainment center and I need a power conditioner that fits in there well such as Monster HTS series which looks like a piece of audio equipment. What others do you recommend? I don't want to spend more than $400 on one. I was looking at Chang Litespeed,Monster, etc. Not only I want protection, I don't want it to degrade my audio sound quality either like some people are saying.Eric
Follow Ups:
Brickwall would seem to the best bet in surge suppression, but in my audio system it rolled highs off some (and didn't help dynamic impact either). Why these guys can't make a detachable power cord (assuming that a big part of the problem), I don't know. It's inexpensive, can be stuffed behind your e-center out of the way and small enough. I'm not a fan of any Monster stuff. A friend has a chang, and it would seem to sound good (I haven't heard it without)...but there's an inmate that recently claimed it was sucking the music/life from his system. I don't know of a good answer, you'll have to try some to see how they work...they will change the sound most likely. There's a discussion in the General Asylum on the same topic, you might look there if you haven't yet.-- Greg
