I am tired of switching remotes all the time. I have a 3 yr old SOny Trinitron and the remote came dvd ready. But in the manual I cant find the code for Apex. Is it possible to manually program this? I have heard some people say they teach each button individually how do I do this? Any help would be great!!

I have never seen Apex in any replacement remote. Is your Sony remote a learning one? The One For All Cinema 7 ($17+) is the "standard" replacement remote people use for Apex, and it works for most Sony gear without programming. There are some drawbacks, but the Apex remotes are too tiny to use comfortably, so it evens out. Just about every key on the 7 can learn and take a macro, contrary to how it's advertised. Also check out remotecentral for detailed info. It's not a painless job...
