I apologize IF this has been asked many times over: my Sony DVP-S56OD DVD player does not play DVD's after disc insertion, and displays a "NO DISC" warning. I talked to a guy at Best Buy and he said it just means the player needs cleaned. BUT, I did find a similiar thread here and you guys told the poster it could be something more. Like fuses burnt out, or something. So could it just need cleaned?? (unplugging, leaving turned off, etc., etc. doesn't work) AND, can I clean it myself, either manually, or by purchasing something that can be used to clean it over and over?

Any cleaning CD will do it. Procedure is the same as for CD player. And if it doesn't help at first try, give it couple more. If still does not work, it is broken.
