I have been using the DVP-9000ES for abot 6 months now and cannot imagine that the images from other DVD players could be THAT much better.... the images are stunning and very film-like... does a great job of getting rid of the MPG jaggies on most material.

I don't do multi-channel SACD since it would require a significant $$$ investment to get the additional 3 channels up to par with my 2 channel SACD setup.

For movies, DD/DTS is awesome and the surrounds don't have to be Magnepans to sound great.... however the center still needs to be very good...... for multi-channel SACD, i cringe at the thought of how much money and time i would have to spend on getting it to sound like my 2 channel SACD setup... BTW i use the SCD333ES for SACD and the DVP9000ES mostly for DVD (bacause of the investment i have made in the interconnects for the SCD333ES).
