We are looking at using full range speakers and a sub woofer with a Marantz SR6200. Does anyone know if the software will allow us to set front L&R for large and sub = yes. We want to use a sub but not cut out low freq from the main L&R speakers.Thanks, in advance, for any help any offers.

Here's what will happen if you set your speakers to large with a sub...1) In pro logic mode you will get little output from your subwoofer, the receiver is then directing all the low bass to the fronts. You could try setting the fronts to large and the center to small, that may help somewhat.
2) In DTS or 5.1 it will work fine, these formats have a dedicated LFE track that will play out the sub no matter your settings.
Full range front speakers are not necessary in this day and age if you have a subwoofer.
I don't know if it helps you but this does work on the SR4200. At least the setup allows it but since I don't have a sub I can't say if it works ok in reality.Best regards,
