I don't need bass management actually cuz all four (no center) speaks are full range. But I want true hi-rez audio and video, not the chroma bug plagued genesis chip that is in the Toshiba. Hope the new Denon has the Sage or Faroudja chip.

The Genesis chip has nothing to do with the chroma bug. The Genesis is for deinterlacing -- it has its own flaws but they are unrelated.The Chroma bug is a function of the MPEG decoder, and I don't recall whether Toshiba is using their own, or an older LSI Logic / C-Cube / Zoran Vaddis.
The earlier recommended Denons are one option.
If you want to buy know, and aren't averse to a changer, consider the Kenwood 5700 or Kenwood 5900 players.
Both have identical video sections, and vary only in the disc handling capabilities.
