  I believe it is a choice between S-VIDEO and composite, or is it component?

  If comparing to composite...S-video is the better one. It has color and luminance in seperate strands, whereas composite has all the colors and luminance in 1 strand.

  Component on the other hand has the 3 colors and luminance on a seperate strand so the pecking order will be as follows.

  1ST - COMPONENT
  2ND PLACE - S-VIDEO
  LAST - COMPOSITE
