I don't mean just sell or market t.v.s. Who are the companies who make original CRTs on an OEM basis for companies like Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, etc, etc.? I have been told that there are very few, even as few as three in the whole world.Does anybody know? Thanks.

Actually there are soooo many. But most of them make them by license from other few company. They all "steal" it from Philips who made first tube as we know it today. It is called Euro-Tube, or In-Line, or (as Sony like to call it) Trinitron. All are the same and ivented by Philips.
When you look at the back of the tube, if part number begins with an "A" it is Philips or it's licensed factory.
