If I had known that I was dealing with a lawyer I would have worded my earlier post more carefully.Raiders was produced by LucasFilm but was distributed to video by Paramount. Jaws is a Universal film but was distributed to video by MCA. The original Star Wars was produced and distributed to video by Fox. Blah blah blah. Lucas and Seilberg retain control of DVD home video rights. And since neither one of them is exactly standing on a street corner begging spare change, they can afford to wait until encryption technology is secure, so that they can sell their titles over and over and over again as they have done so many times in the past.
Question: since you said you wanted to spit on the sign you saw in Best Buy, did you? And do you get these urges often?
