Roma is beautiful in its one-swoop presentation... people talk about Sokurov's Russian Ark as being something fundamentally new, with no editing... yes, but that was *technical* side, in Fellini's case the clean progression is emotional, which is much harder to maintain. Sokurov's film stumbled emotionally all the time, just to make sure the tape didn't have to be stopped.Dinner Rush is not really a mafia film, it is a film about people. There are enough points of interest, fun and astute observations and good characters and dialogues to make it worth while, but I would not go through great difficulty getting it. If I could easily rent it - I would.
