You gotta warn people about actors speaking with regional inflection not native to their own. Yes, some actors can do it. But I mostly find many who cannot. So, even if not 'accurate' to a film's setting, I prefer the actor speak in their own voice. And suspend disbelief vis a vis the non-accent. Rather than struggle to watch the actor struggle with the accent.Why the rant Elmo? Ever since I walked out of the 'Seduction of Joe Tynan.' Hearing Meryl Streep mangle her way through her Southern character's part in the opening minutes. Been a pet peeve of mine.
Anyway, did enjoy the movie, though it took me a while to settle down/overcome the Irish (?) brough. Don't think it best film of the year. But pleasant and enjoyable. With the latest turn of critical praise possibly overselling the film? But, that's business.
