haven't seen "The Pianist", but I've lways taken the view that H,M,&B's chamber music is where the real jewels are

and not just the Opusses of Quartets, quintets, trios, etc, but also stand-alone things like Mozart's duos for violins, his two Lodron works, the Gran Partita, Haydn's trios for flute violin and cello, Mozart's sonatas for violin and piano.

That is, I agree with you, Victor.

If you take your lady to see this or even hire it on DVD, she will be moved. You might even score! I've seen it subtitled, twice now.
