Hi, Grits!
I thought it was plenty fun.
The computer nerd's character arc was a nice touch to go with Bruce's staying in character.
Good villains, good daughter role, the main character learns nothing - a classic summer action flick.
Maybe that airplane not being able to kill him was Hollywood's military metaphor. You know, those Hollywood liberals who don't run for public office have a negative image to keep up! (Joke)
Yeah, I'd pass on the car into heli and jet plane stuff. For me, the best action is more "personal" or "intimate" in its threatening-ness.
Also great was the homage to the previous Die Hard films with Bruce having a phone buddy. I really liked that part. It somehow makes Bruce's character alot more human.
I liked the little glimpse of the "resilience of youth" bit at the very end, too.
Some pretty good human touches, really.
I'll give an action film rating of 8.
