You mean Banionis, the lead actor in Solaris.

But the actor who played King Lear was JÃ¼ri JÃ¤rvet, who also played very well Dr. Snout in Solaris.

Bondarchuk is the one who played Pierre in W&P. he also directed the Waterloo, with Rod Steiger as Napoleon - another strong recommendation (Patrick did not like it... bummer!).
