Take it easy, be glad you survived and GOOD luck in your recovery.
Work on getting abdominal muscles in top shape: they're key in lower back strength.
Also: don't listen to "specialists" telling you about surgery: lower back surgery is usually not necessary and doesn't do a damn thing. I was told by two leading neurologists that I needed fusion. They were full of shit. I'm fine today.
