... 3 or 4 for 10 is Hall of Fame worthy. I liked him in Waterfront, Viva Zapata (where Anthony Quinn (not to mention Joseph Wiseman) overacted him into the background, and the original "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with David Niven. If you accept the explosion of method acting into Hollywood in the 1940's, then you can't deny his relevance. His talent was a force; "precious, pretending faggot," as you sagaciously label him, or not. 😄
