Actually I don't care what taste a person has - I know people who only like classical music and within that view the piano as the most "elite" instrument - all other instruments are inferior.
And yes some people only like art house films and are mystified by the "junk-food" marvel universe of movies. Although I point out a difference between film and movies - the latter I use to put towards Raiders of the Lost Ark - film I would use to describe his beloved 8 1/2.
I am happy to appreciate both - and I have no problem with people who like only one or the other - I also appreciate the folks who think all movies and films are utter dross compared to the obvious superiority of the stage.
Viktor sadly doesn't even rank as a good legend in his own mind snob because the mere fact that he lowers himself to even discuss the low grade entertainment drivel that is "film" even 8 1/2 rubbish tells me that he has low standards - Film may be a cut above movies but it is still merely spectacle of trash to the real snobs.
He has a long way to go to be taken seriously if he likes the Usual Suspects - how dare he? That is a Hollywood movie with American actors - lol and has a bloody Baldwin in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????? The worst Baldwin at that!?!?!?!?!?!
No - people who lack class and tact I will call out. I am friends with beautiful female symphony level violinist - when she criticizes the musicianship of Itzhak Perlman I am happy to listen to her critique.
