To answer your question, CES displayed the RP56 at their 2002 show and suggested the cp72 (which was rated as high), check out the link. Also, check out hometheatrehifi.com and go to the DVD Benchmark>2001 August shootout and make your own determination about the Sage/Faroudja chip, and talk to a trusted Home Theater dealer to answer your questions. These two sites should give you enough to make an informed decision. But Panasonic's new CP72 is slated to carry the Sage chip.
