Man, I really wish we could get a definitive answer from Panasonic

like on their website or something... No offense to you, but they have given different answers re the RP62/82 over the last few months. Don't know of anybody having opened the RP62, or having done a test that proves S/F chips, but since it's not much different than the RP56 in a cheaper package... I guess this is wishful thinking, Panny is not likely to provide this info openly since S/F is perceived as superior, and the RP82 (maybe) and RP91 don't have it...

Why do I care? I want S/F, have an RP82 on order. Have a chance to get another RP56 quite cheap now ($120), it won't last, would prefer it if RP82 isn't S/F FOR SURE.
