Direct supposedly has better sports packages, and Dish maybe movies (not sure). I've got Dish 150 with HBO and couldn't be happier! Wouldn't go back to cable. Also have one of their units that does Tivo style recording AND FOR FREE! None of the stupid monthly fees that regular Tivo requires.
