Are you sending the analog audio outputs from the LD and DVD player to the switchbox as well? If not, that may explain why, when you tape, you get no sound.Also, the DVD player must be set up for analog audio output in the player setup menu section. That's because when you select bitstream output (if you want to send the DTS and DD digital stream to your receiver/processor), the analog output is usually disabled.
