AV Receivers - Good - Better - Best Onkyo vs. Yamaha?

I am setting up my first HT system.

I have selected 2 AV Receivers: Both cost about the same.

#1.) Onkyo TX-SR701. OR #2.) Yamaha RX-V1400.

Their features are nearly indentical.

Anyone wish to comment or state a preference giving reasons why?

Is one built bettter? I know the Yamaha brand. I don't know much about the Onkyo brand.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.
