It is hooked up to a Samsung 61" DLP TV. The DVI cable is a 4 meter Monster Cable M500DVI. The HD-931 cost me $279 plus tax and the M500DVI cost me $120 plus tax. This DVD player kicks ass! Picture quality is extremely sharp, colors are vibrant and true. Depending on the DVD, switching between the different modes do produce different video quality in my setup. Also as a DVD/CD audio transport it works surprisingly good out of the box.I have owned this DVD player for 3 months now. For the price I am very happy with it, works flawlessly. I also have a HK DVD50. Even when using the HK in progressive scan mode the Samsung just out performs the HK by a huge margin. The HK is now in a closet. Oh, to take advantage of the upscaling you must be utilizing the DVI interface.
If you have any other questions regarding this post or the Samsung HD-931 you can email me. I do not usually visit this forum.
