It can be done. If you are fussy about audio you will find ordinary HT sound unacceptable and it will end up costing you a lot more than a carefully thought out combo. When listening to 2 channel audio you do not have to have all the surround gear going. Another thought - 6 channel DVD-A & SACD is just around the corner & you can start long term planning for this now. We have a sucessful high end combo system. All you need is a processor with a "direct" or "bypass" mode.Peace at AA
