Hmmm...the wave effect sounds like some inherent internal damage. I would take it back to the dealer.As far as the tint goes, have you played around with all the coloring options (brightness, tint, color, etc>)? There are also picture mode options (Vivid, sports, movie, normal) that dramatically affect the picture.
