Re: subwoofer

Hi: Well given that most Klipsch speakers don't go "deep" (not much under about 35 hz) then a subwoofer is needed if you want the max impact of action movies. Most subs are now powered & Klipsch makes a number of subs, one should fit your needs. I would think smaller (say 10") should work in your room.

Speaker placement is often an issue, as is room acoustics. If the room is too live or "dead" there are likely to be problems. But what kind of source are you using? A cheap dvd player will only make things worse.
