I know there is discussion ad infinitum on other boards, but I was wondering if Microsoft had any second or third thoughts . . .By several accounts, Toshiba has botched the HD-DVD rollout. Their units may be more affordable than blu-ray, but they also freeze up and take forever to boot.
Software is extremely limited. Several reviewers are underwhelmed.
I recognize that HD DVD may end up making it ONLY as a storage medium in the PC world, so perhaps that justifies Intel and Microsoft being in the HD DVD camp, regardless of whether HD DVD survives as the next high def video format for (non-PC) home theater.
