Hi,
you have a problem. Square rooms are an acoustic nightmare.
You will need some bass traps.My big concern with processors is reliability. Your preferences may vary. Sending one away to get fixed is a ROYAL pain in the buttocks.
My preference for HT is to use HT speakers. They are very different animals than those designed for stereo.
Subs.... two thoughts, for cheap call Dr Hsu. For a good one get the top of the line Paradigm.
Btw, my room is 18 feet long, I could not get the rear speakers back far enough. So I just use the stereo speakers I had when I started the whole HT thing (yes, I realise that contradicts what I said before)
