A great speaker choice and a relative bargain is Definitives Pro cinima series. Here is a link and a review: http://www.definitivetech.com/loudspeakers/procinema/procinema.htmlYour room is not too small for home theater. It will be fine. As for video. There are some some great projectors for under $2000 such as Optima HD72. If you have the wall space you can save a ton on a screen and instead go with Goo System paint. As long as you have a wall to use this is a great choice. You can have a GREAT prjector and screen for about $2500. There are tons of moderately prced HT revcievers for about $1000. My preference is Yamaha. I have the RV-x1400. Great performer and the auto set up EQ is a great feature. As long as your room is dark this is going to be an awsome set up. There is no reason when you have a dark dedicated HT room to not go with a projector. If you don't have the wall space you can get a high quality pull down screen for about $1500. You will be blown away with this set up for under your $7500. It will be around $7000 with a good screen. About $1000 less if you can use the Goo System.
