RE: Use component video or convert to HDMI to hook old processor/DVD player to new TV ???

Thanks for the responses -- the reason for the distance is that my turntable, amp, and cd player are by my chair across the room and I like it that way, particularly because of the turntable. And I don't want to stare at my gear (rather stare at my records . . .) -- I think I'll just go with the component video, as you suggest. The audio will be analog, as that's what I'll have in that room.
