Audio/video sync

Hey guys,
I just upgraded my satellite service to HD and also purchased an LCD HD TV and I've noticed that the sync between the audio and video is slightly delayed. When I first got the units, I was using Component video and seperate L/R audio and there was no delay but when I switched over to HDMI, the delay is there.
I've got the satellite set to 1080i output and I've played with different audio options in both units menu's but the delay is still there.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to eliminate it?
