My DVD player has component video out which I am using and the TV only has 1 set of component video inputs, thus the choice to use HDMI for the satellite. I guess I could get a video switch box that accomodates component video and use that if the HDMI delay can't be fixed.

I also seen a slight, very slight improvement in the video quality thru the HDMI cable so I wanted to go that route...
