Red/Yellow/White three connector cables are meant for audio and composite video (Red and White are audio, Yellow is composite video.)Component video cables (Red/Blue/Green) are usually spec'd for higher bandwidth needed for a progressive video signal (several MHz) as opposed to audio which maxes out at around 20KHz. There are other differences, but in general dedicated component video cable will work better than using audio cable.
