Well, I am not sure I agree. Do you think Paths of Glory is syrupy? There is definitely some glorification, yes.***maybe all films romanticize life. it's not really life as we know it. an illusion of life.
Hmmm... even things like "120 Days of Sadom"? Man Bits Dog? I think there are plenty that strip any layer of romanticizm off life... unfortunately.
***corniest films. maybe 'from dusk to dawn', and 'pulp fiction'. 'the wizard of oz'.
You mean of course From Dusk Till Dawn, from dusk TO dawn is the 1913 silent film that no one has seen, I suspect.
I dunno, I would not call From Dusk Till Dawn corny, I think it is well below that... your average all-around trash.
