That wasn't the message at all.Let's take a look at the other three guys.
One of them is completely hung up on an ex that moved to get away from him and finally comes out of his depression by hooking up with a virtual stranger.
One of them picks up no one during the film until he helps himself to the book store girl when the main guy leaves her in the tub.
One of them fucks around and realizes that he'd messed up and does actually love his girlfriend when she dumps him for cheating.
Though it's a revealing look into your sub(un?)conscious bias', none of that adds up to what you're imagining the film is saying -- unless you think that fucking around on your significant other, getting dumped and realizing you truly love her is simply "Christian" moralizing.
"Where are we going? And what am I doing in this hand basket?"
