To me, the key words in your comments are "very touching." I kept waiting for the film to come apart at the seams, and it held itself together as an atmospheric ghost story which has an emotional and tasteful ending. I ended up caring about the characters. I was led on a journey, as opposed to being jolted, manipulated and beaten up by standard horror movie fare. I thought of NIcholas Roeg's "Don't Look Now," and a host of 1940's Hollywood ghost stories (The good ones). Regards
