Hi,I have a Toshiba SD3750 DVD player that I am getting audio distortion on both a particular CD and the matching DVD (NIN concert video). This appears most apparently in a track with solo (synthesized) piano. The CD of the same concert does the same when played in the DVD player, but is fine when in my CD player. I have looked at (and tried) all audio settings in the DVD player to no avail (there is no "Attenuate" control, or anything like that). There is a "Dynamic Range" control, which does not cure it. Setting the oversampling seems to help a bit, but it is still distorting.
I looked inside the DVD, and it is of course all SMD crap, including what I presume are the op-amps used for the analog audio (on the audio board). I guess I forgot to mention that this in on the analog audio out. I am using a tube preamp on my 2-ch system, so no go on going digital. Any sites for mods to the analog section, or help on replacement of the op-amps? I don't have a schematic, but have some exeperience in doing electronics work (as a tech and as an EE).
TIA for any help,
Chris
