I think you are experiancing digital clipping. This probably hapens on more CDs than just one, you just do not hear it. One CD I tested today on 2 Toshibas (and my computer) is Kid Rock "Devil Without a Cause". You can clearly see clipping almost every 10-15 seconds. But there is no way I would ever be able to detect it by listening to it. It sounds just perfect.
