Dear Mr. Sox,thank you very much indeed for your kind and very valuable reply, and for the warm welcome to this forum.
> \\\1) which of the two (-RW or +RW) format is better?/// I’m not convinced it makes much difference. With the introduction of multi-read drives it is certainly becoming LESS problematic.
If I understand well there is no intrinsic superiority of one format over the other one. Do I understand well?
> \\\2) is the internal hard disk option fundamental?/// The short answer is no, it is not fundamental. However, I use a hard-drive DVD recorder and it is so much more convenient and versatile than just a DVD disc recorder.
So the option is very useful. I see. Unfortunately the price difference is substantial here (let's say 200 euro to 500 euro with just a 80GB HD difference. I personally think is a little too much, considering the current prices of computer HDs).
> The new model DVD recorders will write and read BOTH +/- DVD-R/RW disc types.
Yes, but I would like to take profit of some discounts on older one format only models.
> I personally would not buy a DVD recorder without a hard drive. I will be buying a second DVD hard-drive recorder shortly.
Very clear point of view. That was indeed the user opinion I was looking for. Thank you very much indeed again. Very useful reply.
Good luck
