That's a tough one.

They both have thriving music scenes, they both have great - but different - BBQ. Lots of hot horny girls in Austin (it's a university town), don't know about Nashville, so I suppose if I were 20-something and single and wanted to work in the tech field, I'd opt for Austin.

On the other hand, back in the day, I drove overnight from Wisconsin to Nashville three or four times, to look for a job in a recording studio. It seems that, at that time, everybody and their dog wanted the same thing. One studio manager even asked me if I could work for a couple of weeks for free. There were no, none, zero, nada, job openings - every studio I went to was fully staffed, and many had waiting lists!

A couple years later, after taking a job with an acoustics firm in Dallas, I had occasion to go to Austin a couple times on noise & vibration control projects (wafer fab facilities). Sixth Street was a good place to spent lunch time and evenings. Babes, restaurants, music. A single guy's dream. (However, I was engaged at the time!)

Ok, that's all I've got for now.
