Ran as a lefty, but her campaign cash came from corporate interests. Once elected, she went all in favor of corporate interests.
Now that the best she offered was as a spoiler, she couldn't raise money and she's done. Dropped out of the race for re-election.
Money might not be a zero sum game--I think it is, but that's just me--but power certainly is zero sum. You can't gain power without taking it away from somebody else.
But money equals power, so the only way we're ever going to have a representative republic (forget about democracry) is to take the money away from billionaires and strip corporations of citizenship rights.
This will trigger the usual cast of characters here, I'm sure, so that's all I've got to say on the matter.
