" If you are using a dedicated streamer and Tidal or Qobuz apps running on the same (embedded Linux or Android) platform, there should be no meaningful difference between them, at least according to my experience with dozens of different streamers, from a lo-fi mass manufacture streamer to a 30k USD one."The antecedent to "them" is "Tidal or Qobuz apps running on the same platform", not the gear used.
Then what is the 'platform'? Or what are the 'platforms'?
I can see that he's comparing Qobuz and Tidal. Does the comparison not include gear? Platform to me is comprised of hardware and software. Most streamers run Linux while a few run Android. And to run either of these operating systems one requires hardware.
I look forward to clarification from the author since he's comparing Tidal and Qobuz, yes, but mentions dozens of different streamers - hardware+OS platforms.
