They sold between 50K and 100K in a weekend, that's no small feat. That shows there IS demand, if the price is right. It also shows that it can compete with DVD players. It also generated alot of interest in HD DVD.>>>The question is can they sustain low cost volume sales of A2s and now A3s ?<<<
I don't see why not, the A3s are supposedly cheaper to make than the A2s. Note that BB dropped the price of the A3 (but doesn't have them in stock). I fully expect the A3 to sell for <$200 this holiday season. That's been the goal all along. Hell, they only list for $300. You are just used to BD's excessive prices.
