51,I enjoy the Elipsa Se a great deal, but the speakers require a fair amount of current/drive to get the woofer operating as smoothly as the rest of the system.I have installed a pair of subwoofers @80Hz.This has allowed me to high-pass and use smaller amps on them.
First was the Cary CAD 805AE and currently a pair of AN Conquest Silver Signatures.
My thinking was that the "synergy" with Audio Note would probably match best.
The other reason being that (1) like the AN sound and would mesh better and (2) will probably under-go a down-sizing (square footage) and (3) the AN-J is easier to lift/move,than the SF Elipsa SE.
When dealing with speakers in this price range, would prefer an audition.Don't want to tackle a long drive, with health/vision concerns.
