I have the J Spe but without the 99db hemp woofer. I bought the J silver over the E copper when I downsized and had a room modified to 12'8" x 15'2". With other neighbors close-by I wanted less bass for late listening. I am running the Cyber 211 (poor man's Ongaku). I put the J-Spe in the corner with a 2 inch slab of concrete glued to the wall behind it. This is why Audio Note speakers have that cabinet bounce, to re-enforce the bass. That requires a really hard surface behind those speakers. It was not unusual for Audio Note to bring concrete corners to those trade shows in a hotel room.
