Auditioning to me has always been a must. If I cannot find a way to get some sort of listening time for a product, I'm not going to buy. I've heard an all AN system at RMAF like 10 or more years ago, so take this with a gain of salt, it sounded very good from what I remember. It did not blow me away, but it was very easy to listen to and from memory had no glaring flaws. It sounded like proper music. I've been playing a little in the diy camp recently since giving most of my main system to my two sons, so I'm not up to speed on current offerings available.
