And no, I'm not talking about Victor's lap! ;^)You just had to stick in some backhanded insult about Peter Jackson alluding to Lord of The Rings and those of us who revere his accomplishment, didn't you? Just because YOU are incapable of appreciating his achievement doesn't mean those films are just for kids, which is what you're implying. Have you ever considered the possibility that perhaps this is YOUR problem? Maybe you just lack the imagination to appreciate epic fantasy.
I'd wager that you're still fuming over Return of The King raking in all of those Academy Awards last Spring, including Best Picture; you're probably still upset over LoTR's worldwide popularity and how much money these films have made. Hollywood lacks your sophisticated tastes, right? Well, allow me to enlighten you one more time about Mssr. Jackson's interpretation of Tolkein's Ring trilogy: No foo-foo French mustard this, just a richly rewarding, imaginative epic for the ages, and by that I also mean ALL ages.
But patrick, please, if you must stomp your sour grapes into whine, do it Outside, where it can be appreciated and responded to more appropriately.
Respectfully (not),
AuPh
