Well yes the kids may go see it just like they did the first King Kong. Or do you think that was a sophisticated grown up movie? jackson basically said he wanted to remake it becuase he feels the current generation of kids won't get the chance to enjoy it the way the kids did the first time around. By the way Jackson does make movies for people of all ages as well as just for kids.
